Are We All Children in Adult Bodies?

Recently, a friend of mine was going through a very tough time and he said, it came to a point that I just wanted to say….. “I want my Mommy” Of course I laughed at first, but then I started to think about how many times I’ve heard people say, “How did my life get so complicated?

Sometimes when I drive by a playground, I stop and think how simple it was back then when all you had to decide was it the swing set or the sand box……..

Which brings me to the advantages of embracing gratitude to cope with our lives that have become so complex since those days back at the playground.

We have so many choices that we seem to just give over to fate, life, or some other invisible force.  To be happy or sad, grateful or ungrateful, and so many other opposing feelings are still a choice that we get to make.

You can decide TODAY to be happy not sad, positive not negative, and grateful not ungrateful TODAY.

If you believe that we are in fact just children in adult bodies, stop today and think about some of the ways that you could get some of the fun pieces that you had when you were a child before you grew up.  Embracing an attitude of gratitude will make it much easier to do so.
